Random Parts Of Me

$200.00

Dimensions: 51cm (w) x 76cm (h)

Medium: Acrylic paint, oil sticks, oil pastels on canvas

Description:

As I pull from different parts of myself, this painting takes form—a garden of diverse flowers, each representing the riches life has instilled in me through hardship. This piece is part of my ongoing obsession with painting flowers, sparked after attending the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.

I was there with the love of my life, and in that moment, I saw no difference between her and the gardens before me—both radiating beauty, depth, and presence.

For so long, I questioned why life brings such hardship, but now I understand: once you make it to the other side, life becomes richer. Over time, you begin to recognize the defence mechanisms your mind and body created to survive. And in the end, what once felt like downfalls now nourish the soil—giving life to your own garden.
